Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Heat over low heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined. Remove from heat.
Add the chicken wings to the hot oil and fry them for about 10 minutes, until they are cooked through and golden brown. Remove the wings from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Place the cooked wings in a large bowl and pour the sauce over them. Toss the wings in the sauce until they are well coated.
