Ingredients
  

  • 4 apples large, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1/2 cup pecans walnuts, or almonds), chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut off the tops of the apples and use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out the core and seeds, creating a well in the center of each apple.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chopped nuts, honey, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Divide the nut mixture between the hollowed-out apples, filling them up.
  • Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and pour the water into the dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the nut mixture is golden brown.
  • Serve the baked apples warm, drizzled with any remaining honey from the baking dish. Enjoy!
