Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups whole grain flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk You can use any kind of milk.
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the whole grain flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Ladle the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp. Serve hot.
