Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Pour the melted butter into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, flour, milk, and vanilla to form a batter.
Pour the batter over the melted butter but do not stir.
In a separate bowl, combine the peaches and remaining 1/2 cup sugar, then spoon over the batter.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Decorate with brown sugar if desired.
