Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking tray.
In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Stir in the ground ginger and golden syrup.
Sift in the flour and baking soda, and mix to form a dough.
Roll the dough into small balls and place on the prepared baking tray.
Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
