Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
Remove the kale leaves from their stems and tear into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, toss the kale pieces with olive oil, making sure all leaves are well-coated.
Add the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl, and toss to evenly distribute the seasonings.
Spread the kale pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the edges are brown but not burnt.
Let cool slightly before serving. The chips will become crispier as they cool.
