A Middle Eastern dish made with thinly sliced chicken marinated in aromatic spices, typically served with pita bread and fresh veggies.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams chicken breast sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, ground cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add sliced chicken breast to the marinade and mix well to coat all pieces. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the fridge.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken slices and cook for about 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  • Serve hot with pita bread and your choice of fresh vegetables and sauces.
