Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups raw peanuts shelled
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for a spicy kick

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully add the raw peanuts to the hot oil in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Fry the peanuts for approximately 5-7 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  • Remove the peanuts from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • While the peanuts are still warm, season them with salt and cayenne pepper if desired.
  • Allow the peanuts to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
