Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk room temperature
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips semisweet

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently into the batter.
  • Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour enough batter to fill the grid. Close and cook until golden brown.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
