Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the cheese wheel by shaving off some cheese from the center to create a small cavity if needed.
In a pan, melt the butter over low heat, then add the cream and heat through.
Once the pasta is done, drain and reserve some pasta water.
Immediately transfer the hot pasta into the cheese wheel and toss to coat, adding cream and butter mixture as needed.
If the pasta is too thick, loosen the sauce with reserved pasta water.
Season with freshly ground black pepper and additional cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
