Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook until the sugar dissolves and the blackberries release their juices, about 5 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and carefully add the brandy or rum.
Flambé the mixture by lighting the alcohol with a long lighter or match. Allow the flames to burn out completely.
Serve the warm blackberries over vanilla ice cream.
