Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 cup parsley chopped, for garnish (optional), fresh

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low.
  • Gradually whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Serve the Alfredo sauce immediately over your favorite pasta. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
