Delicious and creamy Mashed Sweet Potatoes, the perfect side dish for any meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk or more if needed
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • Place the cubed sweet potatoes in a large pot and add enough water to cover them.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the sweet potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  • Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve warm as a side dish.
