Jalapeño Grilled Cheese Sandwich

A spicy twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with the addition of jalapeños for an extra kick.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices bread Preferably sourdough or your choice of bread
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese Or your choice of cheese
  • 1 jalapeño Sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon butter Softened

Instructions
 

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of one piece of bread.
  • Add the sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.
  • Top with the remaining slice of cheese.
  • Cover with the other slice of bread, buttered side up.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  • Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
