old-fashioned rolled oats
not quick oats

cold, for blending

Instructions
Add oats, water, optional salt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract into a blender.
Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until well combined.
Strain the mixture through a clean t-shirt or towel over a large bowl or pitcher to remove the oat pulp.
Transfer the oat milk into a sealed container and refrigerate.
Shake well before use, as separation is natural.
