This Homemade Mai Tai is a classic tiki cocktail that's fruity, refreshing, and perfect for any occasion. Made with rum, orange liqueur, lime juice, and a hint of almond syrup, it's a tropical drink that captures the spirit of the islands.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 0.75 oz orange curaçao
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz orgeat syrup (almond syrup)
  • 0.5 oz dark rum for float

Instructions
 

  • Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add the white rum, orange curaçao, lime juice, and orgeat syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Strain the mixture into a glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Float the dark rum on top by pouring it gently over a spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and mint sprig, if desired. Serve immediately.
