Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole milk or any milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar can use less if desired
  • 1 pinch salt to enhance the flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract adds a rich flavor

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Whisk continuously until the cocoa and sugar are dissolved and the milk is steaming hot.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy immediately, optionally topped with whipped cream or marshmallows.
