Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups carrots
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, combine carrots, water, butter, and brown sugar.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until carrots are tender.
  • Uncover and increase heat to medium-high. Stir often until the liquid is reduced to a glaze.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then serve.
