Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup polenta use coarse-ground cornmeal
  • 4 cups water or use chicken stock for more flavor
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground, to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  • Slowly whisk in the polenta in a steady stream.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, until the polenta thickens and becomes creamy, about 30 minutes.
  • Stir in the butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
