Ingredients
  

  • mint (a handful), fresh
  • 1 bottle Italian dressing
  • 1 Lemon
  • 3-4 Garlic cloves
  • 2-3 pounds Poultry or meat (adjusting for the marinate quantity)

Instructions
 

  • Finely chop a handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Mince garlic cloves
  • Juice one lemon
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped mint, minced garlic, and lemon juice
  • Pour in the bottle of Italian dressing
  • Mix well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined

Marinate the Meat

  • Place your choice of poultry or meat into a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish
  • Pour the marinade over the meat, ensuring it is well-coated
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap
  • Place it in the refrigerator and marinate for 1 to 2 days, turning the meat occasionally to ensure even marination

Cook the Marinated Meat

  • When ready to cook, remove the meat from the marinade and discard any remaining marinade
  • Skewer the meat onto skewers (if desired for traditional spiedies)
  • Cook the meat using your preferred method (grilling is traditional)
