Dairy Kugel – by Elliott S Bender
Ingredients
- 8 oz broad noodles
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 container sour cream small
- 8 oz curd cottage cheese small
- 1 stick butter
- butter for greasing the pan
Instructions
Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook Noodles:
- Boil 8 oz of broad noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the noodles and set aside.
Prepare Mixture:
- In a large bowl, combine the drained noodles, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, sour cream, and cottage cheese.
- Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
- Use a hand mixer to blend all the ingredients until well combined.
Prepare Baking Dish:
- Grease a 9×9 inch glass casserole dish with butter.
- Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Add Butter and Cinnamon:
- Cut the stick of butter into small pats and place them evenly on top of the noodle mixture.
- Sprinkle additional cinnamon all over the top of the casserole.
Bake And Serve:
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top noodles turn a light brown.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
